I started mixing with a spoon and then gave up and used my hands (shudder). I also added a bit more baby oil than it called for!
My son LOVE LOVE LOVED playing with this stuff! I don't let him get messy like this very often (mainly because I have a deeply rooted fear of this type of mess), but I gritted my teeth and let him do it, and even got a little messy myself, too. I think he liked the texture, because he could squeeze it and make it solid, like this:
Or he could just crumble it up with is fingers. I did this on my clean-the-floors day, and it sure was a good thing, because by the time it was all over, we had made a huge mess!
Take aways:
- This was so simple, cheap, and fun. I had all the ingredients and didn't have to do anything out of the ordinary to do this special thing.
- Next time, I'm going to lay down a tarp or do it outside. Getting the flour out of the teeny spaces between the floor boards was a pain!
