Diet: Hmm. This was probably my most challenging week because this was the first holiday I've experienced since my new eating habits have kicked in. I made several dishes for the 4th, and the bread is what killed me. I think I ate an entire piece-worth before and after it was baked :/. I also had one piece of "Give Me Liberty or Give Me Egg Casserole." And a small glass of chocolate milk. But I was on target for the rest of the week, and I'm not beating myself up about it. I knew what I was doing, and I enjoyed myself.
Breakthroughs:
- A 3rd pair of jeans that were too small now fit. I'm wearing them in this picture, even though you can't tell. (And since you can't tell, just admire my adorable children instead:)
- And, in connection with the picture above, I had to ride in the backseat between my two children's car seats. I can say WITH CONFIDENCE that this would not have been possible six weeks ago, as it was barely possible yesterday. I was pretty crammed.
- Also in connection with the picture above (even though you can't tell in the picture) I am very happy to report that my arms are starting to become noticeably less flabby. I would imagine that after another month of these yoga flows I might even be able to say that they are becoming toned.
- I saw some family this week who were very complimentary of my weight loss. My dad said someone commented to him about it, too.
- I have now lost the equivalent of my baby daughter's weight. This is SO HUGE! Carrying her up the stairs is a pain, and it's pretty eye-opening to think that I used to carry that much extra weight around with me every day.
- Weight loss total so far: 22 pounds!
Weekly Goals:
- Yoga six times this week, and at least one hot. My mom is out of town so I'm going to have to be creative about how to get my kids covered this week...
- Walk eight miles this week. It's getting hotter. This will be a challenge indeed.
When I get back we will schedule walks!
