Exercise: I yogaed Monday through Wednesday and then this morning. I'm headed to a class in OK as well and I'm sure I'll have a post about that :) I walked 16 miles this week (yep...that's right. And it's only FRIDAY!), thanks mostly to Lindsey, and how she wants to go four miles instead of three, and I don't want to look like a wimp so I push through, and find that I can do it. Great motivation!
Diet: In my last get fit post, I mentioned I would be going to a wedding and wasn't sure exactly what I would be eating. True that. There was actually a relatively healthy assortment of Mexican food from which I constructed a salad of lettuce, fajita veggies, some chicken, a (small) amount of rice, and a (liberal) amount of guacamole. I had a bite of Charlie's sopapilla (sp?), but that was it. Until this:
This was presented to us by the dear friends we were staying with. Laurie is maybe the best cook to ever walk the earth and this was from scratch. The whipped cream was homemade. And the chocolate mint on top was picked fresh from her garden. She didn't even ask me if I wanted one - I mean, who wouldn't want this? I argued with myself for a (short) while, until I decided on a compromise: I have worked my butt off. I am going to eat half. And oh. was. it. worth. it. The next morning, the wedding had a breakfast catered, and I ate a helping of eggs (which I do occasionally, so that wasn't a big deal), a small bite of my husband's bacon, which he kept saying was delicious, and a small piece of the wedding (coffee) cake. Cheating? Most definitely. Result? Weight loss was slower this week. You get what you pay for.
Breakthroughs:
- I didn't really have much in the way of breakthroughs - just more of the same - clothes fitting better, people commenting, etc.
- Today's weight: 157.4
- Weight loss total so far: 28.1 pounds!
Weekly Goals:
- Walk eight miles this week. This was my goal last week, but we're headed on VACATION THIS WEEK, so I do want to take some time to relax.
- Yoga four times this week. Also going to be a challenge due to the vaycay schedule...
- Aqua zumba this week! I have been itching to try this. Zumba itself holds no interest whatsoever for me, but aqua zumba (zumba in water) sounds like something I can do!
