Get Fit: Week 6



Exercise: I yogaed Monday through Thursday.  Friday Rick didn't get home from work in time and they don't have a late class, and though I planned to go Saturday, my son ended up needing to go to the doctor.  There was never a plan to go Sunday because we will be out of town this weekend.  4/6=FAIL. Grr.  Of the ones I did do, though, 3 were hot.  I survived.  Also, I ended up with 9.08 miles (and upgraded from my confusing SportsTracker Ap to the Nike one, where I can "compete" with friends) which is 1 mile more than my goal.  Success :)
Please be kind. Remember I am not a runner - I am a walker. And most of the time I'm pushing two kids in a stroller and we are playing red light green light and stopping to look at bugs and water fountains.
Diet:  GREAT week, though technically the week isn't over and I still have an out-of-town wedding before me.  The rehearsal dinner is at a Mexican restaurant...ugh.  I found a salad online, but I've only been to two wedding rehearsal dinners in my entire life where you ordered your own meal.  Most of the time they have you in a room with a buffet set up.  Here's hoping we can order.  If not, we may be swinging by Wendy's and getting the Berry Almond Chicken Salad, sans chicken.

Breakthroughs:

  • Jeans from last week - the ones I wore to the Royals game - are noticeably looser
  • This week we had VBS at church.  I can't even tell you how many people complimented me on my weight loss.  It was so nice!
  • Chelsea, who has lost an obscene amount of weight in the past seven months, was getting rid of some clothes that no longer fit, so I hit her up.  She had 10s and 8s in the stacks of pants, and I knew the 8s wouldn't fit, but I decided to try them anyway.  All of them buttoned and zipped! AHHHHH!  A few of them are still to snug for public wearing, but oh my goodness.  I freaked.
  • The number in the tens place has dropped!
  • Today's weight: 159.6
  • Weight loss total so far: 25.9 pounds!
Oh, does that feel good.  I still have 14.1 pounds to go, but I am in the freaking 150s! I think it's been about 8 years since I could say that! YAY!!!!

Weekly Goals:
  • Yoga five times this week, three hot.  This is going to be a challenge because two days will be spent in KC, and two in Tulsa.  We'll see!
  • Walk eight miles this week.  Also going to be a challenge since I'll be gone, but setting my goals high.
